Agent Quick Setup
The following easy 5 steps are necessary to setup alarm notification. If you have not
installed the product yet, do so before using this guide. If you need additional
help installing, configuring, or using this product,
please contact Technical Support
|

Browse the Agent
If your web browser is not currently displaying the agent web interface, open your
browser and enter "http://localhost:8080/" in the location or address field and press
the Enter key.

Goto the Configuration Web Page
In the gray menu area on the left, click the
link followed by
the link. This
will place you into the configuration section.
|

Configure Your Email Server
Click on the link. Then,
enter your email server information as shown below. If you are running Unix and
do not enter SMTP server information, the agent will use the default "mail" or "mailx"
command to send Email. When finished press the
button.

Enter Your Email Address
Click on the link. Then,
click on the edit link for
the "Tier1" alias. In the member list, enter the the email address that you wish
contacted when an alarm occurs as shown below. All of the default alarms are
initially set to contact the "Tier1" alias. When finished press the
button.

Save Your Changes
You will see a message like this indicating that you have pending changes:
Click on the "Save" link to save your pending changes.

Congratulations!
SiteMaestro will now notify you when any of the pre-built alarms are triggered due to
system problems. You're covered - Thats all there is to it.
To deploy more servers with this configuration, simply copy the configuration file "sm.conf"
to the installation directory of then new machine.
